Disc Filters Built for Aquaculture
The Innovasea disc filter has been engineered to meet the high demands and flow rates of industrial RAS facilities. With its innovative, multi-layer design, the Innovasea disc filter can handle higher flow rates, filter smaller particles, and process more water than a traditional drum filter. They are manufactured by NP Innovation, which drew inspiration from their use in industrial and municipal water treatment plants to create a disc filter built for aquaculture.

Benefits of a Disc Filter
Innovasea disc filters have been designed to meet the needs of medium- to large-scale applications. Key differentiators include:
- High Efficiency: Disc cassettes are engineered for high flow rates and fine filtration.
- Maximized Filtration: Innovative design offers a filtration area three times larger than a drum filter within the same footprint.
- Space-Saving: Compact setup allows for more filtration capacity in less physical space.
- Cost-Effective: Cutting-edge engineering reduces energy consumption and minimizes wastewater.
- Self-Cleaning: Moving spray bar cleans better while reducing water consumption

How Disc Filters Works
In a disc filter, three-dimensional “cassettes” with filter mesh on both sides are arranged side-by-side to create a circle or disc. Untreated water enters a central location and moves through the rows of disc segments in the middle of the drum. These cassettes capture the particles, allowing only clean water to pass through.

Disc Filter Model Types
Innovasea offers three disc filter models to choose from, each in a range of sizes:
- Frame version
- Frame version with level tank
- Tank version

Drum Filters for Aquaculture
For some sites, the Innovasea drum filter may be the better option. Designed to be reliable, energy–efficient, and durable, drum filters provide a versatile option for effective water filtration.
